Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery

Located on Chamberlain Square, the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery contains over 40 galleries. Hosting one of the most important archaeological discoveries for recent times, the Staffordshire Hoard, it is also home to one of the largest collections of Pre-Raphaelite works in the world as well as the Old Masters and Impressionists. Entry is free to most of the permanent collection but certain events and exhibitions do charge.

Midlands Art Centre

Otherwise known as the MAC which is an Arts complex hosting theatre, dance, music and comedy performances, plus cinema and workshops. 

Birmingham Back to Backs

Located on Hurst Street / Inge Street just a few minutes walk away from the apartments. This National Trust attraction charges an entry fee, tours available

Birmingham Open Media (BOM)

Visit this fascinating gallery and collaborative workspace of art, science and technology. Birmingham Open Media is a community run organisation that allows artists and scientists the opportunity to showcase their work at free exhibitions and events. Throughout the year there is an eclectic mix of events that all differ from one another so you will find something here for everyone.

The Drum

The venue is dedicated to developing and promoting contemporary art and culture in British African, Asian and Caribbean communities. The Drum features events including dance, comedy, spoken word, theatre and music.

Birmingham Royal Ballet

Having recently celebrated their 20th anniversary, the Birmingham Royal Ballet continues to produce performances that astound and delight audiences. The Royal Ballet is based in Birmingham's Hippodrome Theatre just a short walk from the apartments.

Aston Hall

One of Birmingham's most treasured buildings is the Jacobean style Aston Hall. It is located approximately 5km from us near the Aston Villa Football Stadium. The museum features a series of period rooms displaying splendid examples of furniture, paintings, textiles and metalwork from the collections of the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery. Family events are regularly held here during summer months.

The Custard Factory

The Custard Factory is one of Britain's most prominent hubs for creative and digital businesses as well as having numerous top class event venue options. In conjunction with its sister project, Fazely Studios, these renovated factory buildings have become Birmingham's main creative and digital district. The Birmingham Library

Check out the picturesque redevelopment of Centenary Square which has Water Fountains. The Library is one of the largest public libraries in the world spreading over 10 levels. IKON Gallery

Ikon hosts exhibitions which change every 3 months. This museum has free entry and is suited for families, adults, and young people. Situated in Brindley Place, just off Broad Street the Ikon Gallery is just 15 mins walk from Birmingham New Street Train Station.

Birmingham Hippodrome Theatre 

Just 3 minutes walk from the apartments situated on Hurst Street within the Chinese Quarter. The Hippodrome is one of the largest touring theatres in the UK. The Hippodrome theatre has many musicals, dance, ballet & pantomime performances.

The Alexandra Theatre 

The Alexandra Theatre is just 10 minutes walk from the apartments, this entertaining retro theatre hosts a busy programme of drama, stand up comedy and west end shows. 

Jewellery Quarter Museums

The Museum of the Jewellery Quarter tells the story of the JQ and Birmingham’s Metalworking heritage. Watch live demonstrations at the jewellers bench, or have a guided tour. 

Pen Museum

Pen Museum is a small venue which promotes and preserves its 19th century pen trade. The museum displays various pens and equipment, videos, and has interactive equipment that can help bring back to life to the story behind this manufacturing famous pen trade. 

The National Motorcycle Museum

This museum is a 25 minute drive away by car from PREMIER SUITES Birmingham. It holds a large collection of British motorcycles to promote its great motorcycle manufacturing heritage.  The museum welcomes visits from all with entry fees that apply.
